CEPT University has partnered with Saint-Gobain to establish a Climate-Resilient Tech Commons Centre aimed at advancing research on sustainability, energy efficiency and well-being in the built environment.
Speaking on the collaboration, Sreedhar N., Senior Vice President and CEO (Asia Pacific and India Region) at Saint-Gobain, said innovations in construction practices can have a significant impact in a country like India. He added that the partnership aims to develop Made-in-India solutions and increase awareness of sustainable building technologies, with institutions like CEPT playing a key role.
According to CEPT University President Prof. Barjor Mehta, the new centre will include four dedicated hubs focused on Building Science and Climate Resilience, Urban Intelligence and Digital Twins, Computational Design and Visualisation, and Communications and Media. The initiative is expected to strengthen research and innovation in sustainable and climate-resilient urban development.
