Ahmedabad: Residents in parts of the Paldi ward are gearing up for a disruption in their drinking water supply on Thursday. The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is set to carry out emergency repairs on a leaking 900 mm mild steel trunk pipeline.
The areas most likely affected include Paldi village, Ellisbridge, Fatehpura, and nearby residential societies around Shreyas Tekra.
AMC officials explained that this repair work is necessary to prevent further water leakage and ensure the long-term reliability of the city’s overall water supply network. “We know this will be inconvenient, but it’s needed,” one official noted.
To ease the burden on residents during this period, AMC has arranged for water tankers to be stationed in the affected localities until normal supply resumes.
