The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to declare the NEET UG 2026 re-exam results by July 18. As students await the results, many are wondering whether a score of 580 marks is enough to secure admission to a government MBBS college.
According to admission trends, a score of 580 is expected to fetch an All India Rank (AIR) between 5,574 and 5,792. With this rank, candidates may have a chance of getting admission to several government medical colleges through the All India Quota (AIQ) or state counselling, depending on the category and seat availability.
Some of the government medical colleges where candidates with around 580 marks may have admission opportunities include Lady Hardinge Medical College (Delhi), Goa Medical College, Indira Gandhi Government Medical College, Nagpur, Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College, Jhansi, and other institutions, subject to the applicable quota and counselling process.
