Passengers travelling on the recently launched PM e-bus service in Vadodara were left stranded after the bus broke down on the Jetalpur bridge on the Vadodara–Padra route.
The electric bus, introduced in the city about two months ago and put into service around 15 days back, developed a technical fault while returning to Vadodara from Padra. As the bus came to a halt on the bridge, passengers were forced to get off and make alternative travel arrangements.
Several passengers complained that the new buses have been facing technical issues since they began operating, causing inconvenience to commuters. The bus driver said he was unaware of the technical problem and could not restart the vehicle, leaving passengers to continue their journey on their own.
