The Faculty of Law at GLS University recently organised an interactive session titled “Wisdom from Legal Practice: Insights on Navigating a Legal Career” to help students understand the realities of the legal profession.
Addressing the students, Devang Nanavati, Vice-President of GLS University and Senior Advocate at the Gujarat High Court, encouraged aspiring lawyers to build a strong foundation in law while developing effective communication and negotiation skills. He also stressed the importance of integrity, discipline and professional ethics.
Using landmark court judgments and real-life legal examples, Nanavati explained how laws continue to evolve and highlighted the need to understand their practical application.
During the interactive session, he also spoke about career opportunities in the legal field, professional ethics and the growing role of artificial intelligence, noting that while technology can support legal work, it cannot replace legal reasoning, experience and human judgment.
