Ahmedabad Police have declared the entire route of the 149th Jagannath Rath Yatra a no-parking zone on July 15 and 16 to ensure the procession and traffic move smoothly.
The no-parking rule will start from 12 midnight on July 15 and remain in effect until the Rath Yatra ends on July 16.
The restriction will apply to the entire Rath Yatra route, including Jamalpur, Khamasa, Astodia, Raipur, Khadia, Panchkuva, Kalupur, Saraspur, Prem Darwaza, Delhi Chakla, Shahpur, Gheekanta, Manek Chowk and Danapith. The BRTS route on these roads is also included.
Police have warned people not to park their vehicles anywhere along the Rath Yatra route during this period. Vehicles parked in no-parking areas may be towed away, and legal action will be taken against those who break the rules.
