The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast weather alert for the next three hours, from 10 am to 1 pm, warning of rain across several parts of Gujarat.
An orange alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Tapi, Chhota Udepur, Vadodara, Bharuch and Narmada districts, along with the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman. Heavy rain has already been reported in parts of Valsad since morning.
A yellow alert for light to moderate rain has been issued for Gir Somnath, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod and Dang districts.
The weather department has advised residents in the affected areas to remain alert and follow official weather updates as rain activity is expected to continue during the forecast period.
