Gold and silver prices witnessed a sharp decline in the futures market on Tuesday, resulting in losses for investors.
Gold prices fell by more than ₹1,400 per 10 grams during the day’s trading. After closing at ₹1,42,531 per 10 grams in the previous session, gold opened lower and slipped to an intraday low of ₹1,41,115, a decline of ₹1,416.
Silver prices also recorded a steep fall. After closing at ₹2,28,563 per kg in the previous session, silver opened at ₹2,25,000 and dropped further to an intraday low of ₹2,22,901, registering a fall of ₹5,662 per kg.
The sharp decline in both precious metals has unsettled investors. Market experts are closely watching global trends and commodity market movements to assess the direction of gold and silver prices in the coming days.
