A 27-year-old fashion designer has filed a police complaint after a car allegedly driven recklessly crashed into five parked vehicles in Ahmedabad’s Naranpura area early on Monday, causing significant damage. No injuries were reported in the incident.
According to the B Division Traffic Police, the accident took place around 6.15 am on a public road near Parth Apartment in Pragatinagar.
The complainant, Isha Shah, a resident of Parth Apartment, told police that she was at home when she heard a loud noise from outside. She, along with her family members, rushed downstairs and discovered that a Hyundai Verna had rammed into two vehicles owned by her family that were parked on the roadside.
The collision also damaged three other parked vehicles belonging to nearby residents, taking the total number of affected vehicles to five.
Shah stated that the driver remained at the spot after the crash. Local residents immediately informed the police control room, and officers soon arrived at the scene. She later lodged a formal complaint at the B Division Traffic Police Station.
Police said the vehicle was allegedly being driven in a rash and negligent manner, leading to damage to multiple parked vehicles. A case has been registered against the driver, and further investigation is underway.
Authorities are recording statements from the owners of the damaged vehicles and examining available evidence to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
