Young gymnast Phalak Vasava from Rajpipla in Gujarat’s Narmada district has made the state and the country proud by securing fifth place at the Trampoline Gymnastics Asian Championship held in Hong Kong.
The championship took place on May 23 and 24, where Phalak represented India in the Junior Age Group Individual Women’s category. Competing against some of Asia’s finest young trampoline gymnasts, she delivered a commendable performance to finish among the top five athletes in the event.
Her achievement marks a significant milestone in her sporting journey and highlights her growing stature in the discipline at the continental level.
Encouraged by her success, Phalak is now focused on bigger goals and hopes to represent India at major international events in the coming years. She has set her sights on winning a medal at the 2030 Commonwealth Games, which are expected to be hosted by India.
Reflecting on her performance, Phalak credited her achievement to the constant support of her parents and the guidance provided by her coach and mentors throughout her training journey.
