The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has extended the visiting hours of the Dumas Sea Face Project by one hour in response to the growing number of visitors. Previously open from 6 am to 7 pm, the sea-front attraction will now remain accessible until 8 pm.
Announcing the decision, SMC said the Dumas Sea Face Project was developed as a modern, nature-based tourism destination for residents of Surat and nearby regions. Since the inauguration of Package-1 of Zone-1 on March 8, 2026, the project has witnessed a steady influx of visitors.
Designed to offer a unique recreational experience amid natural surroundings, the project caters to people of all age groups. Facilities currently open to the public include Darya Ganesh Road, surface parking, the arrival plaza, a children’s play area, promenade, walkway, cycle track, event ground, horticulture zone, Warship Plaza and a multi-level car parking facility.
Considering the increasing footfall and to give visitors more time to explore and enjoy the attractions, the civic body has decided to extend the operating hours of the Dumas Sea Face Project till 8 pm.
