The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has introduced a new AC Volvo bus service between Ahmedabad and Somnath via Kodinar, offering passengers a faster and more comfortable travel option to the popular pilgrimage destination.
According to GSRTC, the bus will depart daily from Geeta Mandir bus station in Ahmedabad at 7:30 am and is expected to reach Somnath by 5:30 pm. For the return journey, the service will leave Somnath at 7:30 am and arrive in Ahmedabad at around 5:30 pm.
The route will pass through several important towns and cities, including Dholera Chokdi, Bhavnagar, Talaja, Mahuva, Rajula, Una and Kodinar, enhancing connectivity between Ahmedabad and the coastal Saurashtra region.
GSRTC officials said the Volvo service has been launched to provide pilgrims and other travellers with a safe, reliable and comfortable mode of transport while improving access to Somnath, one of Gujarat’s most revered religious destinations.
