The Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) has postponed the upcoming Saurashtra Pro T20 League (SPL), which was scheduled to be held in June, amid rising petrol and diesel prices and growing concerns over travel expenses.
Sources associated with the league said the tournament is now likely to be organised in August instead of June. The decision was reportedly taken considering the current situation and its possible impact on public attendance and transportation costs.
Officials believe that holding the tournament later in the year will help attract more cricket fans to the stadiums and ensure better participation during the matches.
The Saurashtra Cricket Association is expected to announce the revised schedule for the tournament in the coming weeks.
