The Gujarat government said on Friday that nearly 65 per cent of its public services have been integrated with DigiLocker, making digital governance easier and more accessible for citizens.
According to an official statement, Gujarat was among six states recognised for its “outstanding contribution to DigiLocker integration” during the recently held National Consultative Workshop on Strengthening Cyber Security Framework for State Data in New Delhi.
Various departments and institutions of the Gujarat government have integrated their services with DigiLocker, benefiting around 1.92 crore citizens across the state.
Citizens can directly access ration card details from the Ration Card Management System (RCMS) portal of the food, civil supplies and consumer affairs department through their DigiLocker accounts.
Similarly, important documents issued after January 1, 2016 — including caste certificates, income certificates and domicile certificates — are also available through the Digital Gujarat Portal, which serves as a single platform for accessing Gujarat government e-services.
Municipal corporations in cities such as Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Bhavnagar and Jamnagar have also activated DigiLocker services for several citizen-related documents.
