A fire broke out in a flat located in Ahmedabad’s Satellite area on Saturday, sparking panic among residents of Ratnakar-3 apartment near Jodhpur Prerna Tirth Road. The blaze reportedly started on the third floor of the B-Wing, with thick smoke and flames rapidly spreading across the section of the building.
As the fire intensified, residents evacuated the apartment complex in fear, while the fire department rushed multiple teams to the spot. Six fire tenders were deployed, and firefighters used four vehicles to bring the blaze under control. After extensive efforts, the fire was contained before it could spread to nearby flats. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
The latest incident comes just a day after another major fire broke out at Solitaire Building on SG Highway, where flames spread from the third floor to the upper levels, creating panic inside the commercial complex.
With two major fire incidents reported in Ahmedabad within 48 hours, concerns regarding fire safety measures and emergency preparedness in residential and commercial buildings have once again come under scrutiny.
