Western Railway has announced temporary changes in the origination and termination points of several trains due to ongoing Non-Interlocking (NI) work and yard remodelling at Vadodara railway station.
The infrastructure upgrade, which includes commissioning of an Electronic Interlocking system under the Vadodara Division, began on May 16, 2026. To facilitate the work, a Traffic and Power Block will remain in effect at Vadodara station from May 21 to June 20, 2026.
According to a press release issued by Western Railway Public Relations Officer Anubhav Saxena, train operations will be partially modified during the period to ensure safe railway functioning and minimise inconvenience to passengers.
As part of the arrangement, several trains will either short-originate or short-terminate at Vishwamitri, Bajwa, Chhayapuri and Makarpura stations.
Trains short-originating from Chhayapuri
The following MEMU services will originate from Chhayapuri between May 21 and June 20 and remain cancelled between Vadodara and Chhayapuri:
- Train No. 69233 Vadodara–Dahod MEMU
- Train No. 69117 Vadodara–Dahod MEMU
- Train No. 69119 Vadodara–Dahod MEMU
- Train No. 69121 Vadodara–Godhra MEMU
Trains short-originating from Bajwa
The following trains will originate from Bajwa and remain cancelled between Vadodara and Bajwa:
- Train No. 69101 Vadodara–Vatva MEMU
- Train No. 69115 Vadodara–Vatva MEMU
- Train No. 69113 Vadodara–Vatva MEMU
- Train No. 69107 Vadodara–Vatva MEMU
Trains short-terminating at Vishwamitri
The following services will terminate at Vishwamitri and remain cancelled between Vishwamitri and Vadodara:
- Train No. 69109 Surat–Vadodara MEMU
- Train No. 69111 Surat–Vadodara MEMU
Trains short-terminating at Chhayapuri
The following trains will terminate at Chhayapuri and remain cancelled between Chhayapuri and Vadodara:
- Train No. 69122 Godhra–Vadodara MEMU
- Train No. 69120 Dahod–Vadodara MEMU
- Train No. 69118 Godhra–Vadodara MEMU
- Train No. 69234 Dahod–Vadodara MEMU
Trains short-terminating at Bajwa
The following services will terminate at Bajwa and remain cancelled between Bajwa and Vadodara:
- Train No. 69114 Vatva–Vadodara MEMU
- Train No. 69108 Vatva–Vadodara MEMU
- Train No. 69102 Vatva–Vadodara MEMU
In addition, Train No. 12930 Vadodara–Valsad Intercity Superfast Express will originate from Bajwa station at 4:45 pm between May 21 and June 20. However, the train will continue to halt at Vadodara station from 5:05 pm to 5:10 pm.
Meanwhile, Train No. 59049 Valsad–Vadodara Passenger will short-terminate at Makarpura and remain cancelled between Makarpura and Vadodara. Similarly, Train No. 59050 Vadodara–Valsad Passenger will originate from Makarpura and remain cancelled between Vadodara and Makarpura during the same period.
Passengers have been advised to verify train schedules and revised operational details before planning their journey.
