The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) has released the admission schedule for first-year degree architecture programmes for students from the Class 12 science stream and diploma engineering background.
The online registration process for admissions to government, granted and self-financed architecture colleges across the state will begin on May 19 and remain open till June 20. Students will be able to complete the entire admission procedure online without visiting the admission office physically.
According to the official notification, candidates applying for architecture admissions must have appeared for either JEE Main Paper-2 or the NATA 2025-26 examination. The first round of seat allotment is scheduled to be announced on July 14.
As per the eligibility criteria, science stream students must have studied physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with chemistry, biology, technical vocational subjects, computer science or information technology. Candidates from the general category must secure at least 45% marks, while reserved category students need a minimum of 40% marks for eligibility.
Under the norms laid down by the Council of Architecture, appearing in either NATA or JEE Main Paper-2 is mandatory for admission to architecture courses.
Currently, 20 architecture colleges across the state offer a total of 1,232 seats. However, ACPC will conduct admissions only for 733 government quota seats. Last year, 1,051 students secured admissions to architecture programmes.
Among the seats covered under the admission process, 100 seats are in granted colleges, 141 in Centres of Excellence institutions and 492 in self-financed colleges. Admissions under the management quota will be conducted separately by individual institutions.
As per the schedule, document verification and submission will continue till June 25, while the provisional merit list will be released on June 30. Mock round choice filling will be conducted between June 30 and July 5, and its result will be declared on July 7. Final choice filling will take place from July 8 to July 12.
The new academic session is scheduled to commence from August 1, while the entire admission process is expected to conclude by August 31.
