The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC), along with the Estate and Urban Development Department, Naroda Police Station and G-Division Traffic Police, carried out a joint operation against illegal parking and encroachments in Naroda to improve traffic movement in the North Zone.
The drive focused on the stretch from Naroda Fuwara Market to the GEB Office Crossroads in Naroda Ward. Officials also conducted action along the busy route connecting Naroda Swaminarayan Park, Naroda Vegetable Market, Vitthal Plaza, Naroda-Dahegam Road and Dahegam Circle.
During the operation, authorities removed vehicles parked illegally on roadsides, locked several vehicles and issued challans to violators.
The campaign was aimed at easing congestion and improving pedestrian safety in heavily populated commercial and residential areas that regularly face traffic bottlenecks due to unauthorized roadside parking.
Residents and commuters welcomed the move, stating that illegal parking had severely affected daily movement, particularly during peak hours.
AMC officials said similar enforcement drives will continue in the coming days to maintain traffic discipline and prevent fresh encroachments.
