Master Spellers Grand Finale 2025–26 Celebrates India’s Young Language Champions in Vadodara

The grand finale of Master Spellers 2025–26, one of India’s leading Spelling Bee and English Language competitions, was successfully held recently at the Federation of Gujarat Industries Centre, Vadodara. The prestigious national event brought together nearly 300 finalists from schools across the country, celebrating excellence in spelling, vocabulary, comprehension, articulation, and language proficiency.

Organised in collaboration with Oxford University Press (UK), Master Spellers has emerged as a dynamic platform that encourages students to strengthen their command over the English language through a unique blend of competition and learning.

The competition follows a hybrid format, with students participating in multiple online rounds through the year before qualifying for the prestigious offline national finale. This format enables accessibility and participation for students from diverse cities and schools across India, making the competition truly national in spirit.

The Grand Finale featured participants from Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Pune, Goa, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Indore, Nagpur, Vadodara, Varanasi, Gurugram and several other cities, reflecting the growing reach and popularity of the competition among schools and young learners.

Seven students, each representing a different age category, were crowned the “Master Spellers of the Year 2025–26”:

Kabir Rahul Shah – Nalanda International School, Vadodara (Alpha – Grade 1)

Samara Lawande – Aditya Birla World Academy, Mumbai (Beta – Grade 2)

Adit Premanand – The Indian Public School, Chennai (Gamma – Grades 3 & 4)

Rishabh Kumar – Vasudev C. Wadhwa Arya Vidya Mandir, Mumbai (Delta – Grades 5 & 6)

Tanish Keyur Brahme – Anand Vidya Vihar, Vadodara (Epsilon – Grades 7 & 8)

Aayush Paroolkar – Navy Children School, Goa (Zeta – Grades 9 & 10)

Tanya Sharma – Vibgyor Rise, Pune (Omega – Grades 11 & 12)

Speaking on the occasion, Sharmishtha Chawda, Founder & CEO, ‘Master Spellers’, the organisers shared that, “Master Spellers aims to move beyond rote learning and inspire students to appreciate language as a tool for confidence, communication, and expression. The competition’s thoughtfully designed rounds challenge students not only in spelling accuracy but also in pronunciation, vocabulary, comprehension, and linguistic awareness.”

With participation from hundreds of schools and thousands of students over the academic year, Master Spellers continues to build a vibrant community of young language enthusiasts across India. The Grand Finale served as both a celebration of achievement and an inspiring reminder of the growing importance of strong communication and language skills in today’s world.
