A three-vehicle collision involving an Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) bus, a Kia car and a motorcycle caused major traffic disruption at the Naranpura crossroads in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
According to preliminary reports, the vehicles collided at the busy intersection, leading to chaos on the road and a temporary traffic jam in the surrounding area.
One person was injured in the accident and was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials have not yet disclosed the condition of the injured individual.
Eyewitnesses alleged that the AMTS bus driver’s negligence may have caused the collision. However, police officials said the exact circumstances and responsibility for the accident would only be determined after a detailed investigation.
Soon after the incident, traffic police personnel reached the spot and worked to clear the congestion caused by the damaged vehicles blocking the junction.
Police have launched a further probe into the incident and are examining CCTV footage along with statements from those involved.
