Ambaji Temple officials announced that access to Gabbar Hill will be completely suspended for darshan on April 22 and 23. This decision comes as a precaution due to the increase of beehives in the area during the warmer months, raising safety concerns for pilgrims.
With rising temperatures, reports of bee and wasp stings have become more common among visitors. To address this issue, the temple trust plans a beehive removal operation over those two days. “We want to ensure that devotees face no harm or inconvenience,” a spokesperson for the trust explained.
During this time, the popular ropeway service to Gabbar Hill will also be halted. The temple trust has urged visitors not to plan their trips on these specific dates through various media channels.
This move highlights ongoing efforts by temple authorities to prioritize visitor safety amid increasing summer activity at one of Gujarat’s renowned pilgrimage sites.
