The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has sealed 12 commercial establishments in the city’s north-western areas for violations such as public littering and use of banned plastic.
The crackdown was carried out by the civic body’s Solid Waste Management Department in localities including Bopal, Bodakdev, Thaltej, Gota, and Ghatlodia.During the two-day drive, officials inspected 155 establishments, issued notices to 126 units, and collected fines totalling ₹1.46 lakh. Additionally, around 15 kg of banned plastic was seized.Of the sealed units, seven were penalised for littering in public spaces, while five faced action for using prohibited plastic materials.
Among those sealed were Mahakali Restaurant, Icon Salon and Makeup Studio, Hargovindas Jewellers, Moonlight Shop, and Ramadhani Mobile.
