The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a gradual rise in temperatures across Gujarat in the coming days, with hot and humid conditions expected in coastal areas starting April 12.
As per the weather bulletin issued on April 10, maximum temperatures are likely to increase by 2–4°C over the next three days, after which no significant change is expected.
The IMD has cautioned that coastal regions, including Saurashtra and Kutch, may experience uncomfortable hot and humid weather between April 12 and April 16.
The state has seen dry weather over the past 24 hours, and similar conditions are likely to continue for the next week. No rainfall is expected in any district during this period.
Bhuj recorded the highest temperature in the state at 37.2°C. In Ahmedabad, the weather is expected to remain clear, with temperatures around 38°C.
While no major warnings have been issued for the next two days, isolated coastal areas may start experiencing heat and humidity from April 12.
Residents, especially those living in coastal regions, have been advised to take necessary precautions as discomfort levels are expected to increase.
