The Ankleshwar–Panoli road via Umarwada–Alunj will remain closed for 60 days as resurfacing and strengthening work begins on the stretch.
The order has been issued by Bharuch’s Additional District Magistrate, Partha Jaiswal, to ensure smooth work and maintain public safety during construction.
During this period, commuters have been advised to use the alternate route via Ankleshwar–Hansot Road from Goya Bazar.
Authorities have warned that violating the order will lead to action under Section 131 of the Gujarat Police Act.
