The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Tuesday appointed two IAS officers from Gujarat to senior positions.Mona Khandhar, a 1996-batch officer, has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary in the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. Aarti Kanwar, a 2001-batch officer, has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles.Both officers had applied for transfers last year, which were not approved at the time.Meanwhile, Vijay Nehra has been promoted as Additional Chief Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
