Ahmedabad and Rajkot are set to host international matches during Team India’s 2026–27 home season, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announcing the fixtures for the upcoming calendar.
As per the schedule, India will host Sri Lanka in December 2026 for a white-ball series comprising three ODIs and three T20 Internationals, to be played across multiple cities, including Ahmedabad and Rajkot.
Ahmedabad will host the third ODI on December 19, 2026, at the Narendra Modi Stadium, while Rajkot will stage the first T20I on December 22, 2026.
The ODI series will be played in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad, while the T20I matches are scheduled in Rajkot, Cuttack, and Pune.
The BCCI stated that the 2026–27 home season will feature four touring teams—West Indies, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and Australia—in a multi-format schedule comprising 22 international matches across 17 cities.
Matches in Ahmedabad and Rajkot are expected to attract large crowds, given both venues’ history of hosting high-profile fixtures. The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is the world’s largest cricket stadium, while Rajkot has hosted several limited-overs internationals in recent years.
