Big Changes Coming to Ahmedabad’s Long-Distance Trains
So, here’s the scoop — Western Railway’s stepping up its game! Starting May 21, they’re adding an extra AC 3-tier coach to twelve long-distance trains in the Ahmedabad division. Honestly? This is great news for anyone who’s ever been cramped in a train. More comfy seats are on the way!
The lineup of trains getting this upgrade includes some popular routes like:
– Bandra Terminus–Gandhidham Express
– Ahmedabad–Prayagraj Express
– Sabarmati–Varanasi Express
– Sabarmati–Thawe Express
And that’s just from May 21! On May 22, we’ve got the Dadar–Bhuj Express getting its glow-up, and then the Gandhidham–Howrah Express follows on May 23. So mark your calendars!
But wait, there’s more! Three additional trains get their AC coach boost on May 24:
– Indore–Asarwa Express
– Ahmedabad–Patna Express
– Sabarmati–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Express
Then starting from May 25 through the end of the month, expect updates for:
– Sabarmati–Lucknow Express (May 25)
– Sabarmati–Sultanpur Express (May 26)
– Ahmedabad–Kolkata Express (May 27)
Train Timings Also Getting a Revamp
Oh and it gets even wilder—some train timings are gonna change too starting March 25! Like, Train No.12958 New Delhi-Sabarmati Swarna Jayanti Rajdhani will arrive AND depart earlier at Palanpur and Mehsana stations. And there’s timing adjustments for other trains like Bhagat Ki Kothi-MGR Chennai Central Superfast.
