Ahmedabad experienced a scare on Monday morning when a fire broke out in the Shapath-4 building located on SG Highway. The blaze reportedly started from an air conditioner unit on the eighth floor, prompting occupants to flee for safety.
As panic ensued, three fire brigade vehicles from Bodakdev Fire Station rushed to the scene after receiving reports of the incident. Firefighters quickly began their efforts to control the flames.
According to fire officer Manubhai Solanki, it took considerable effort to bring the situation under control. “We managed to extinguish the flames without anyone getting hurt,” he noted.
No casualties or injuries were reported following the incident. Officials believe that overheating of the air conditioning unit was likely responsible for igniting the fire, a concern that tends to escalate as summer approaches.
The local authorities and fire department are now conducting further investigations to determine the precise cause behind this alarming event.
