In anticipation of the huge crowds expected for the ICC T20 World Cup final, Western Railway has announced plans to increase train services between Gujarat and Maharashtra from March 7 to March 9. This move aims to ease passenger demand as cricket fans flock to the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
To further accommodate travelers heading to the highly anticipated India vs New Zealand match, four extra coaches will be attached to the already popular Vande Bharat train service running between Ahmedabad and Mumbai. With these changes, the capacity will rise significantly, making it easier for fans to secure a spot on this fast train.
In total, six additional trains are set to operate during this period. These special trains will feature adjusted fares aimed at making travel more accessible for cricket enthusiasts attending the final.
But that’s not all. The Vande Bharat Express train service connecting Ahmedabad with Mumbai Central will see an increase in capacity as well. Starting now until March 31, four more coaches will be added to this route, bringing it up to a total of 20 coaches.
