Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has announced an exciting opportunity for local youth. From May 9 to 15, the Department of Youth Services and Cultural Affairs will hold a free mountaineering training camp at Mount Abu.
But that’s not all. A separate rock climbing course is set for May 18 to June 1, making it a perfect chance for adventure enthusiasts.
Interested candidates need to act fast. Applications must be submitted by March 31, and they should send their completed forms to the Principal at Swami Vivekananda Mountaineering Training Institute on Gaumukh Road, Mount Abu.
The best part? The government will cover all costs for selected participants. This includes training, accommodation, and meals. Plus, travel expenses from their hometowns will also be reimbursed—whether it’s by ST bus or second-class railway fare.
This initiative aims to promote outdoor activities among youth in Gujarat and encourage them to explore new skills while enjoying nature’s beauty.
