Surat, February 26, 2026 — Surat International Airport is stepping up its game with the introduction of laptop workstations aimed at boosting passenger convenience. Starting Tuesday, travelers can now make productive use of their waiting time, which is especially beneficial given the increasing foot traffic at the airport.
This initiative follows a series of recent upgrades, including the Udan Yatri Café and the Avsar Outlet as part of the ‘One Airport One Product’ initiative. Other enhancements like DigiYatra services, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a designated Kids’ Play Area have also been rolled out to improve overall travel experiences.
The newly installed workstations cater to both domestic and international passengers. Each workstation can accommodate four people while ensuring privacy, making it easier for travelers to stay connected. With reliable Wi-Fi available, passengers can handle emails or attend online meetings without hassle.
“This changes everything,” said Anand Sharma, Director of Surat Airport. “Such initiatives make our airport smarter and more business-friendly.” His comments reflect a commitment to enhancing Surat’s image as an important hub for both business and leisure travel.
In addition to laptop workstations, five new mobile charging stations have been introduced throughout the terminal. Each station boasts 12 charging points—just one more way that airport officials are looking out for passenger needs.
