India arrive after win over Pakistan
The Indian team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, arrived in Ahmedabad after registering a comfortable victory over Pakistan. Fans gathered at the airport to welcome the players, creating a festive atmosphere ahead of the crucial fixture. The team is staying at the ITC Narmada Hotel, where players received a traditional welcome.
Match timing and group standings
The day-night match will begin at 7:00 PM IST, with the toss scheduled for 6:30 PM. The game will be broadcast live on the Star Sports Network and streamed on JioHotstar.
India currently lead Group A with three wins from three matches and are strongly placed to qualify for the Super-8 stage. The Netherlands, placed lower in the standings, will look to register an upset to keep their qualification hopes alive.

Special metro services for spectators
To handle the expected crowd, the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) has announced extended metro services on match days. Trains in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar will operate until 12:30 AM, with additional late-night services from Motera Stadium, Old High Court interchange, and Sabarmati to major city destinations. Special return paper tickets will also be provided to help fans travel smoothly after the match.

With India unbeaten so far in the tournament and thousands of spectators expected to fill the stadium, the city is witnessing a celebratory mood ahead of the high-profile encounter. Ahmedabad will also host three Super-8 stage matches later in the tournament, with the possibility of staging the final on March 8, depending on tournament outcomes.
