If you think winter is over, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) says otherwise, warning that cold conditions are likely to return in the coming days.
The IMD has forecast possible snowfall and rainfall in North India, along with a renewed cold wave in Gujarat during the current transition period marked by warm days and chilly nights.
According to the department, a western disturbance is expected to bring strong cold winds across North India, leading to a drop in temperatures in Ahmedabad and other parts of Gujarat after the second week of February.
At present, northeast to east winds are prevailing over the state, and temperatures are expected to remain largely stable until February 14, including in Saurashtra and Kutch. However, a noticeable fall in minimum temperatures is likely after February 15 as the cold wave strengthens.
