Another incident underscoring the risks of rash driving was reported near Pakwan crossroads in Ahmedabad on Tuesday morning, when a speeding car caused a chain collision, briefly affecting traffic movement in the area.
The accident occurred around 11.15 am beneath the Pakwan Char Rasta bridge. Preliminary information suggests that a Kia car, allegedly being driven at high speed, rammed into a sedan that was taking a turn near the junction.
The impact caused the Kia car to overturn, while the sedan was pushed ahead and collided with a school bus parked nearby. Police said that despite the severity of the crash, no casualties or serious injuries were reported.
Eyewitnesses said the overturned car created panic among commuters and led to temporary traffic congestion on the busy stretch. Police and traffic personnel quickly reached the spot, removed the damaged vehicles and restored normal traffic flow.
An inquiry into the incident is underway, and officials said the exact circumstances leading to the accident are being examined.
