CBSE to Train Gujarat Teachers from January 27

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will organise capacity-building programmes for teachers in Gujarat from January 27 to February 12, 2026, in association with Sahodaya School Complexes across the state.

The programmes are designed to help teachers implement skill education for students of Classes 6 to 8 using the Kaushal Bodh activity books developed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). The initiative aims to strengthen teachers’ ability to integrate vocational and skill-based learning into regular classroom teaching.

As per the schedule released by CBSE, the training sessions will be held on January 27, 29 and 30, followed by sessions on February 4, 5 and 12, 2026.

CBSE said the initiative aligns with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which focuses on continuous professional development, skill-oriented education and the integration of vocational subjects with mainstream learning under the “no hard separation” approach.

The board also noted that certificates issued by its Department of Skill Education for these programmes will be valid for meeting mandatory teacher training requirements, provided schools maintain proper records.

Similar capacity-building programmes have already been conducted by CBSE in several states and regions, including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, New Delhi, Tripura, West Bengal and Ghaziabad. Detailed schedules and further information are available on the official CBSE website.
