Indian junior tennis continues to make its mark internationally, with Ahmedabad’s Samarth Sahita qualifying for the Australian Open Junior 2026, one of the most prestigious Grand Slam tournaments.
Currently ranked No. 92 in the ITF Junior World Rankings and placed 15th in the qualifying draw, Samarth has emerged as one of India’s most promising young tennis players. A two-time national champion, he has consistently dominated the domestic circuit.
Samarth trains under coach Shrimal Bhatt at the SRT Altevol Sports Academy in Ahmedabad, where he has progressed through a structured high-performance training programme.
India will be represented at the Australian Open Junior 2026 by Samarth Sahita and Arnav Paparkar in the boys’ category, while Maya Rajeshwaran will compete in the girls’ section, highlighting the growing strength of Indian junior tennis.
