The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has received a total of 25,30,581 applications for the 21st edition of the Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (CTET) after the online registration process concluded.
However, officials said that 1,61,127 applications were found to be incomplete. In response, the board has decided to open a one-time correction and completion window for four days, from December 27 to December 30.
CBSE data shows that registrations peaked on the final days, with 3,53,218 applications submitted on the second-last day and 4,14,981 on the last day. The board acknowledged receiving grievances from candidates who were unable to complete their applications. On review, it was found that many registrations had been initiated but not converted into final submissions.
Considering that CTET is being conducted after a gap of nearly one year, CBSE said it has taken a sympathetic view and allowed candidates with incomplete applications a final opportunity to complete the process through the application portal during the correction window.
