After a series of bomb threats in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, a similar threat was reported at the district Collector’s office in Vadodara, causing panic among administrative officials and police authorities.
The Collector’s office, situated in Vadodara’s Diwalipura area, received an anonymous bomb threat via email on Thursday. As a precaution, the premises were immediately evacuated.
According to preliminary details, the threatening email was sent to the official email ID of the Collector’s office earlier in the day. The message claimed that an explosive device had been planted inside the building and would detonate at 1 pm, prompting officials to alert the police.
Following the alert, senior police officers rushed to the location, and all departments operating from the Collector’s office were evacuated to ensure safety. Given the seriousness of the threat, employees were granted half-day leave and asked to vacate the premises.
