Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the national expo ‘Swadeshottsav 2025’ at Gujarat University grounds on Friday. The event, organised by the Swarnim Jagran Manch and Swarnim Bharat Varsh Foundation, aims to promote Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
Five-day national expo
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy CM Harsh Sanghavi also attended the inauguration. The five-day expo will run until December 9. After the ceremony, Shah opened the ‘Swa-Anubhuti Exhibition’, showcasing India’s indigenous talent, innovation, and capabilities.
Focus on Indian products and knowledge
The expo includes several specialised seminars to spread awareness on key topics. It also highlights art, culture, and Indian-made products. Daily cultural programs will be held from 7 pm to 10 pm. Office-bearers of the Swarnim Jagran Manch were also present at the event.
The festival aims to boost self-reliance and national pride by encouraging the use and promotion of Indian goods and ideas.
