The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Thursday sealed 13 hospitals in the South Zone for running without mandatory Building Use (BU) permission. Another 27 hospitals have been issued notices and told to submit valid BU documents immediately.
Officials said the sealed hospitals were located in Maninagar, Khokhra, Lambha and Indrapuri.

- Abhishek Hospital (Maninagar),
- Babycare Children Hospital (Khokhra),
- Dr Sameer N Shah Surgical Nursing Home (Maninagar),
- Aashirwad Eye Hospital (Khokhra),
- Heta Skin Clinic (Khokhra),
- Riyana Hospital (Lambha),
- Vatsalya Hospital (Vatva),
- Ved Multi-Speciality Hospital (Vatva),
- Rajput Eye Hospital (Indrapuri),
- Rajput Children Hospital (Indrapuri),
- Aashirwad Surgical Hospital (Indrapuri),
- Shreeji Surgical Hospital (Khokhra),
- Kunal Hospital (Khokhra).
AMC said inspections showed these hospitals were operating without BU clearance, which can put patients at risk. The civic body will continue taking strict action against establishments violating building safety rules.
