The Gujarat High Court received yet another bomb threat email on Thursday, prompting an immediate security sweep of the entire complex. Police from Sola High Court Police Station and bomb squad teams rushed to the premises after the threat—sent to an official court email—claimed that explosives had already been planted and warned the court would be “blown up.”
Security personnel carried out initial checks and began tracing the sender. Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads were deployed as a precaution. Senior officials said the threat is being treated seriously due to the sensitivity of the location, and investigators are examining CCTV footage, server logs, and digital trails to identify the source of the email.
No suspicious object had been found till late evening, but the search continued. This marks the fifth bomb threat email received by the Gujarat High Court, with previous hoax threats reported on June 9, June 24, August 20, and September 15.
