Minimum temperatures across Gujarat rose marginally on Monday, offering some relief from the colder nights seen over the weekend. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), night temperatures increased in several parts of the state even as dry weather persisted over Gujarat, Saurashtra-Kutch and the Union Territories.
After dipping below normal on Sunday, temperatures in most districts of Saurashtra-Kutch moved closer to normal on Monday. Clear skies and dry conditions continued under the influence of northeasterly winds across the region.
Ahmedabad recorded a minimum of 16°C, up from Sunday’s 15.1°C, while the maximum settled at 31.3°C — 0.7°C below normal. The city is expected to see mainly clear skies on Tuesday, with the minimum likely to hover around 16°C.
Naliya, which had dropped to 10.4°C a day earlier, saw a slightly warmer 11.6°C but remained Gujarat’s coldest location. Rajkot (13.2°C) and Deesa (14.6°C) also registered mild increases. Along the coast, Dwarka (19.4°C), Okha (21.6°C) and Veraval (18.8°C) continued to record comparatively warmer nights.
