Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate the newly built, airport-style bus port in Navsari on Tuesday at 5 pm. Developed at a cost of 82 crore over 5,025 sq. m, the facility aims to offer modern, high-quality amenities to bus passengers.
Modern Public Transport Vision
The Gujarat CMO said the project aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to upgrade traditional bus stations into world-class bus ports. The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation is transforming stations across the state to match this standard, ensuring that ordinary citizens get airport-like convenience.
Advanced Facilities
Built under the PPP model, the Navsari bus port includes deluxe waiting rooms, RO drinking water, departmental stores, canteens, wheelchairs for divyang passengers, and CCTV surveillance. Gujarat has already completed 12 such modern bus ports. Larger city bus ports are also being designed to include facilities like theatres, banquet halls, and shopping malls.
Key Guests at the Event
Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil, Finance and Urban Development Minister and Navsari in-charge Kanubhai Desai, Tribal Development Minister Nareshbhai Patel, Minister of State for Transport Pravinbhai Mali, along with MLAs and MPs, will attend the inauguration.

According to the Gujarat CMO, these upgraded bus ports are helping Gujarat grow as a major travel hub by improving public transport comfort, boosting business opportunities, creating jobs for youth and women, and making daily and academic travel easier for citizens.
