Nursing Council approves four new colleges; all 2,496 government seats filled
Despite over 33,000 seats lying vacant in nursing and other paramedical courses across Gujarat, the State Nursing Council has cleared the opening of four new self-financed colleges — a move that has raised questions as the admission season nears its end.
The state has already completed six rounds of admissions for ten courses, including nursing and physiotherapy, after Class 12. Following the sixth round, all 2,496 seats in 70 government colleges across seven courses have been allotted. Students assigned seats have been asked to confirm their admissions by paying fees before November 19.
