Winter has arrived early in Gujarat, with temperatures dipping sharply across the state.f Mount Abu, the only hill station in western India, witnessed an 8°C drop, recording a minimum of 4°C, while Guru Shikhar, the highest peak in the Aravalli range, touched 1°C, the lowest of the season.
The cold wave has turned Mount Abu into a winter hotspot, drawing tourists from Gujarat and Rajasthan. With the chill intensifying, many visitors are hoping for light snowfall in the coming days.
In Gandhinagar, the minimum temperature dropped to 13.8°C, about three degrees below normal. The IMD said clear skies and dry conditions will prevail, with no rainfall expected this week.
Other cities also reported cooler mornings: Ahmedabad and Vadodara at 15.2°C, Rajkot 14.8°C, Amreli 14°C, and Naliya 14.7°C — all two to three degrees below normal.
According to IMD officials, north-easterly winds are keeping early mornings and nights pleasantly cool, with no major temperature change likely over the next week.
