SVKM’s NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies), one of India’s leading deemed universities, is set to open a new campus in Sanand, Gujarat, bringing its reputed academic programs to the state. The Sanand campus, located on the Sanand–Sarkhej Highway, is expected to begin operations from the 2026 academic year, officials told Mirror.
The university will offer six programs across the School of Business Management, School of Commerce, and School of Law, along with specialized finance and commerce courses. The proposed courses include:
- MBA (2 years)
- BBA (Hons)
- B.Com (Hons)
- BSc Finance (Hons)
- BBA LLB (Hons)
- BA LLB (Hons)
Together, these will create 840 seats for students in the first phase. While NMIMS has already received clearances from the AICTE and Bar Council of India (BCI), final approval from the University Grants Commission (UGC) is still awaited following the issuance of a Letter of Intent (LoI).
The university’s entrance test, NMAT by GMAC, has already added the Ahmedabad campus for the 2025–26 admissions cycle, aligning with the Sanand campus launch in 2026.
According to Amrish Patel, President of SVKM and Chancellor of NMIMS, the Sanand campus reflects the institution’s “commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and excellence.” Vice Chancellor Dr. Ramesh Bhat added that the expansion marks “a milestone in NMIMS’s mission to nurture future-ready professionals.”
Spread across 35,000 square metres, the Sanand campus will feature 60 classrooms, modern labs, a central library, moot court, auditorium, seminar rooms, cafeteria, and landscaped areas. It has been designed with a focus on sustainability, accessibility, and student well-being.
Hostel facilities and student residences are also planned in the next phase, transforming the Sanand campus into a fully residential academic hub for students in Gujarat.
