Dr. Sameer Sood, Director of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Gandhinagar, has been honoured with the Ashoka Award 2025, presented by the Charles Walters Society for Innovation & Research (CWSIR) in association with the Association of India Bureaucrats.
The award honours individuals who reflect the ideals of Emperor Ashoka and excel in fields such as journalism, social activism, law, the armed forces, bureaucracy, policymaking, and public service. Dr. Sood was recognised for his significant contributions to India’s fashion, apparel, and craft industries.
