Over 80 roles were offered during the first cluster of summer placements for the PGP Class of 2027 at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) on Tuesday.
According to IIMA officials, the top five recruiters were Accenture Strategy (India Market Unit & Global Network), Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, and Kearney.
Cluster 1 featured six cohorts—Management Consulting, Transformation & Operations Consulting, Advisory Consulting, Cards & Financial Advisory, Investment Banking & Markets, and PE/VC, Asset Management & Hedge Funds. The placement process was conducted in hybrid mode, with companies participating both online and offline.
Prominent consulting firms included Alvarez & Marsal, EY Parthenon, Kepler Cannon, LEK Consulting India, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Strategy&, Vector Consulting Group, and YCP Auctus. In the Investment Banking & Markets cohort, Goldman Sachs and Standard Chartered Bank emerged as top recruiters.
Other leading firms in the financial sector included Avendus Capital, Bank of America, Barclays, Citibank, HSBC, JP Morgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley. In the PE/VC space, recruiters included Ares Management, Blackstone, Faering Capital, Gaja Capital, Multiples Alternate Asset Management, Piramal Alternatives, and Premji Invest.
In the Cards & Financial Advisory cohort, American Express led the hiring along with Cranmore Partners and Synergy Consulting, the institute said in a statement.
