Three people were killed and seven others injured in a major accident on the Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway near Harniyav village under Kanbha police station limits on Monday morning.
According to a media report, the accident took place when a Patel Travels bus collided with a Kia car. Moments later, a Rajasthan-registered truck crashed into the stationary bus, causing a pile-up.
The impact killed three passengers on the spot and left several others with minor to moderate injuries. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital by 108 emergency services.
Police have registered a case and begun investigating the cause of the accident. Initial reports suggest that speeding and poor visibility may have led to the crash. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
