Private schools across the state are racing against time to meet the October 31 deadline for submitting online affidavits to finalise their fee structures for the 2026–27 academic year.
For the first time, the Fee Regulatory Committee (FRC) has made the affidavit submission process fully online to streamline approvals for fee hikes within government limits. However, many school administrators are struggling with technical issues, leading to confusion and a last-minute rush.
The FRC had opened the online portal on September 1, giving schools two months to complete the process. Earlier, schools submitted physical copies, but the transition to the digital system has reportedly posed challenges, with several institutions finding it difficult to upload their affidavits successfully as the deadline nears.
